Depending on how long you have been online marketing, if you are just starting out, your list is probably smaller than you would like it to be. If you want to help your list grow and grow, start off by writing articles that pertain to the products that you sell. You want to inform the consumers interested in your products but you do not want to “sell” it to them. Send out newsletters or short emails weekly or once a month with useful information that has to do with the products that you sell.
You should also include a pop-up box that browsers can fill out with their name and email address whenever they enter or leave your site. If you want to ensure they do not just ignore this pop-up, enable it to stay on the screen until the user fills it out and submits the information. Voila! More subscribers.
Understanding the needs of your list and communicating with them effectively is key to maintaining a successful and money making list, if you look after them, they will look after you, if you continually market things of little value your list can suddenly become unresponsive and ultimately costing you money in the long run.
