Email; The Cheapest Way To Promote Your Product On Net

August 31st, 2009

Email is one of the most known tools of viral marketing. You send information on others regarding the product and service that you offer.

A study by Sharpe Partners, an interactive marketing agency, revealed that 89% of adult Internet users in America share content with others via e-mail. This is excellent news for those companies who use self-propelling word-of-mouse” e-mail techniques to sell their products.

Their study also shows other interesting result aside those things that mentioned above. This is with regards on the kind of content that are often forwarded. One of the most known content is some material that is entertaining and amusing.

Humor is the top one category on emails, followed by news, healthcare and medical information, religious and spiritual topic, games, business and personal finance topic, sports/hobbies and so on If you choose email as your tool to promote your products, make sure that the content of your email is mainly on humors.

To make sure that your email will go viral and will catch the interest of other people, you can include jokes and funny videos, cartoon and any other form of entertainment so that people will encourage passing it to others.

Once your email contains some entertaining content rather than pure advertisement, they are more likely to forward it and share your email to their relatives and friends.

Not along ago, about 35 million people got an e-mail containing a picture taken in Disneyland. It took a minute to see it but there was Donald Duck lying prone in front of the famous Cinderella Castle. The title of the picture was “Bird Flu has hit Disneyland”. It was a viral e-mail advertising Disneyland and used the edgy strategy of making light of what’s serious and it works.

Almost all of the people who have a computer see the picture as well as the advertisement of Disneyland. It attracts the attention of millions of people since it is an “advertainment” rather than a plain advertisement.

Keep in mind that people wants to share something that they know it can make others laugh. So instead of creating a boring and plain advertisement, think of a way for it to be unique and can be enjoy by your readers.

Do’s and Don’ts In Email Marketing

August 29th, 2009

The wonderful thing about marketing on the Internet is that there are many ways to do it. You have everything from pay per click to solo ads to classifieds to you name it. But many marketers are missing out on a big piece of the pie by either leaving email marketing out of the equation or not using it properly. I don’t know which category you fall in, but if you’re not making a solid income through email marketing, you’re missing out big time. This article is going to give you a few tips to improve your efforts in this area.

Email List building is one of the marketing strategies that must be implemented in every small business promotion campaign. Many online marketers do not understand the importance of building a quality targeted email list, or the best way to achieve it. You must gain your prospects’ trust and capture their contact information in order to build a list. Through this list, you can advertise your site or product to your prospects and later on turn them into paying customers. According to many of the famous online Gurus and Blogs that I have studied, research shows that people will keep ignoring your advert until they have seen it at least seven times.

Email marketing is the activity of promoting a company’s products or services via electronic messages, or emails, sent to potential buyers or brand-loyal customers. It is not an uncommon practice, but there are many pitfalls to be aware of as a marketer. These failures can be avoided by understanding a few things about how users would like to receive advertising messages in their email in boxes.

No spam, please

Spammers use tools that also spider the web, but save any e-mail address they come across. Your personal web page lists your e-mail address? Spam (the odious practice of sending an email to thousands or even millions of people who have not requested it) is no longer tolerated. Nowadays offenders lose their local internet service provider, their websites, their email addresses, and more.

A trickle, not a flood

Next, email marketing should not be obtrusive or too pushy, in terms of selling a product. People tend to have trust issues towards marketing via electronic means, since they have no real guarantee that what they see is what they will get. Thus, avoid hyping up the products or services too much, or they may think that it is too good to be true and end up not buying at all. Additionally, this applies to the frequency of email updates to subscribers to your marketing service. Once a day is excessive, yet once a month would not be very useful in pushing up the profit line. As a general guideline, once a week or once every two weeks should be good, except if you have a special message on limited offers. Remember not to flood in boxes, and you’re good as gold.

Options for trust

Users have the tendency to unsubscribe from your email marketing service. This is often overlooked by marketers, and scares away the more Internet-savvy users. The fact that they can opt out of your informational messages is a good foundation for trust, since they will feel that you are simply offering a service with no strings attached. Building trust in the informational phase will translate into more purchases and of course better profits later on, so take note.

How To Build A List The Easy Way

August 27th, 2009

If a person that stumbles upon your website is not convinced by its content, there is little chance that he or she will return. It is quite difficult to remember all of the sites we browse through since there are so many of them. You should also be aware of the fact that if a visitor does not make a purchase through your pages, the potential profit you could make from that person will be gone for good. A great way to have your visitors return to your website, thus increasing your chances of making money on them, is to start building a list.

While your website should strive to also have unique material on its pages, that alone will not entice repeat customers. Any good webmaster knows that, in order to sustain repeat business, he or she must get their visitors to subscribe to a mailing list. A mailing list should be something that a visitor should opt-in easily before leaving the website. The information that your opt-in form will gather is the visitor’s name and email address.

If your visitor signs up to be on your mailing list, you can still follow up with him via email. Your subscribers will provide a good list of people to whom you can market your product offers. The more subscribers you get, the higher your potential revenue will be.

In order to boost the number of subscribers, you could write articles. Presuming you can write well on the subject of your business, you can submit these articles to any number of online directories.

As many can attest to, article writing is a great way to practice viral marketing. In the real sense, you are actually proving your worth and demonstrating your expertise about your business through the articles you write.

So, how can this method in effect build your mailing list? This is a great marketing tool for you because it allows you to give detail about yourself and your website URL. As the point of the article was to get more subscribers to your mailing list, your URL should point to the landing page where new visitors can subscribe to the mailing list. Presuming your articles are worth sharing, ezines will republish them and expose your resource box to many potential subscribers. Without putting a whole lot of work into it, you now have a viral marketing plan up and running. The simplicity of including your details with every article you write is also a very effective technique.

Of course, one can put up banner ads and the like, but there is no guarantee that potential customers will see them. Worse, those buyers who trust your company may not learn of new products when they do come out. Email marketing is the way to go here.

That kind of leads in to the next area where you can improve the results you’re getting. People aren’t going to respond to you if you don’t give them something of value. Nobody wants to just open up and email and read a sales pitch. That want something for their time. A free e-course or report or something along those lines will bring about a much better response than a sales pitch. There is plenty of time to pitch these people down the road AFTER you have gained their trust. Give them something of value first.

No spam, please

Auto Responder Software Or an Online Auto Responder Service?

August 25th, 2009

When it comes to building and mailing to an online list of subscribers, is a piece of software suitable or should you consider using one of the email marketing servces such as Aweber?

If you google auto responder software you will be overwhelmed by the number of results you get. However the chances are that most of these will not save you much time and will certainly not protect you against can-it spam legislation for which any breaches carry a serious punishment.

The time taken in setting up a piece of software is time that is wasted when a cheap professional service would mean that with a few clicks of a mouse would mean that you website is set up to collect all the subscribers you can send to it.

When I first went into online marketing I tried what seemed the cheaper option of using auto responder software. However I felt this to be a false economy due to the time I lost setting the thing running.

If you have several websites or mailing lists then services such as aweber or get response will allow you to manage them all from a single log in. Whereas auto responder software would need to be installed on each individual website making life a lot more complicated for you.

The most important thing any auto responder software can do is to be able to prove that you do not send unrequested junk mail – ie it needs to prove you only send messages to those that requested it = otherwise you could be prosecuted for sending spam.

The various services are so cheap and easy to use that I would never bother with auto responder software. I prefer to use my time on other more productive activities such as getting new visitors to my website.

Autoresponder Review – What Are The Key Factors An Email Marketing Service Should Have?

August 25th, 2009

The autoresponder market is absolutely huge with both paid for services and codes that are given. THere are autoresponders that you control from your pc and others that you need to log into online. Here I review the key things that you ought to look for when choosing your email marketing service.

There is no easier way to build up a list of people that you can send your email updates and advertisements to than using an auto responder services.

If a visitor comes to your site once you can sell to them once. If they join your list then you can sell to them over and over again.

So that brings us nicely to the first key point. And that is when you choose your autoresponder, it needs to be one that makes it simple for anyone to join your email list (and to be able unsubscribe later if they so wish). You must give your customer confidence that they will not be bombarded with junk mail.

The major email marketing programs do this as a matter of course. And to stop accusations that you sent unrequested junk mail they also record when and how the person joined your list.

As well as making things easy for your prospects it also needs to be quick and simple for you. Everything ought to be on autopilot after the initial set up yet to your list it should appear that this is a personal conversation. You ought to be able to send out instant emails if needed yet also pre-schedule emails too. It needs to be as simple as possible for you but feel extremely professional to the customer.

Whilst there are so many email marketing services out there that you can use, I would advise that you stay away from the free ones and plump for one of the market leaders – they are inexpensive and are market leaders for a reason.

Viral Marketing Strategy Using Email

August 25th, 2009

Have you ever been wondering how does high traffic websites drive traffic to their location? Some of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing strategies.

There is no need for you to spend big bucks to drive traffic to your site. There are lots of ways to create website traffic without even touching your own money. One way is through viral marketing.

Viral marketing has a range of techniques and potential to reach your true goals. But in order for you to succeed, you need to plan and think of a precise system to use on a viral marketing campaign.

Spamming is one of the most easiest and time conserving ways to promote your product online. Though it is still used by lots of online marketing people. Don’t be tempted to use it as part of your marketing tool since some governments are now imposing restrictions and fines for spammers and I’m sure you don’t want to create a problem out of this. Aside from that, the professional image of your site will also be affected if you do spamming.

Spammers use a certain database. This database contains all the email addresses of different people. These make the life of a spammer easier, because in just one click on their mouse, they can deliver thousands of messages in a span of an hour. However, the problem with it beside from the government restrictions and fines, is it tends to annoy the recipient of the email which results to the deletion of your mail to their inbox, instead of referring it to other people.

You need to personalize by creating your website with personal appeal. You must see to it that your website makes your customers feel safe, secure and cared for. E-mail is important, because it is going to be one of the most affordable ways to keep in touch with your customers.

The proper way to handle email permission is to first let your customer know that you will not transmit their e-mail addresses to third party companies. The next thing to do is to attach the need for their e-mail addresses to benefits they can receive.

For example: Coupons or discounts that are only available to members who receive e-mail notifications. With each e-mail you send the viral marketing effect takes place.
